25 Book Goal for Mrs. A-B

GMMS strongly supports the importance of children reading outside of their required in-school assignments.  Therefore, GMMS started a 25 Book Goal program to encourage all students to read 25 books or 2,500 pages throughout the summer and school year.

To help encourage the school’s philosophy, I have made it EXTRA CREDIT for students to earn 10 Accelerated Reader Points per quarter.  Briefly, Accelerated Reader is a computer-based comprehension program in which a student takes a multiple-choice comprehension quiz on the computers in the library and earns points according to his/her accuracy.  I understand that the library has only a limited number of titles within the Accelerated Reader Program; therefore, students may still earn points for reading Non- Accelerated Reader books.  These points can be earned by completing a book talk with me during library time, or before and after school.

*Extra Credit is capped at 10 AR Points per Quarter*
